Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org Position Summary This position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of clinical information systems supporting patient care functions, focusing on the Revenue Cycle area of nursing practice. This encompasses design, implementation, modification, upgrades, enhancement and support, project leadership, training, documentation development, and contract review. The position is also responsible for staying current with evidence based nursing protocols, nursing standards of care, and providing leadership and direction for incorporating new nursing practices into the clinical information systems. Work situations include intermediate to complex analytical, clinical, financial and administrative responsibilities, and require independent decision-making, problem solving, leadership, systems analysis, customer service skills, organization, public speaking skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Internal contacts require establishing rapport and working relationships with all levels of staff, management, physicians and medical providers, and MHS executives. External contacts include vendor personnel and outside professional and healthcare organizations. Clinical information systems supported include, but are not limited to, MultiCare Connect (Epic), PACS (McKessen), Cardiac Service Information Systems (Emageon), biomedical devices, and other clinically focused systems as required.Minimum Requirements Five (5) years nursing experience in a patient care setting. Experience with Microsoft applications and tools. Experience leading teams and peers. In-depth applications knowledge in assigned platforms. Seven (7) years informatics experience with clinical information system implementation, support and optimization including: -Proven experience and knowledge of project management skills, tools and methodologies-Experience working with vendors, consultants and other purchased services-Experience on large projects Education/Licenses/Certifications Bachelor's RN degree required, Master's preferred. Licensed as RN in State of Washington.*Residence in Puget Sound or Spokane area preferred
