Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographer
Operates independently-and without direct supervision as the technologist responsible for the performance and coordination of all sonographic examinations. These exams are performed with and without the use of contrast materials. The purpose of these exams is to achieve diagnostic studies for proper diagnosis and treatment. Schedules patients for examinations. Evaluates the nature of critical and emergency procedures, and rearranges patients scheduled to accommodate them. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Citizenship: Must be a Citizen of the United States.- English Language Proficiency: DRTs must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) , and 7407(d). CERTIFICATION: All applicants must be certified in ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. ADVANCE
